Welcome to my latest 'Product of the Week' post. This post is about not one, but two of my holy grail products:
Cocoa Brown Tough Stuff & Cocoa Brown Chocolate Whip

I love fake tanning (I'm super pale so a bit of tan works wonders!) but it's essential to make sure my skin is fake tan-ready.
In order to ensure your fake tan looks tip-top, you MUST exfoliate and moisturise your skin! You need to do this for a couple of days before applying your tan of choice. If I was applying tan on the Friday night for the weekend I would start to exfoliate and moisturise on the Wednesday morning.

These two products are key to flawless skin for even fake tan application. If you haven't tried either of this, I highly recommend them!

Cocoa Brown Tough Stuff
This is thee best body scrub I ever used. It is so gritty, making it ideal to exfoliate your skin and to remove any old stubborn tan from your last application! It works brilliantly on the rough areas of your skin such as elbows, knees, feet etc. It has quite a runny consistency so if you prefer, you can use it on dry skin for an even deeper exfoliation. It's gritty, pink and has Cocoa Brown's signature Tahitian Gardenia scent.. what more could you ask for in a no-nonsense body scrub.
(Always moisturise after exfoliating. Never exfoliate on the day you are applying fake tan.)

Cocoa Brown Chocolate Whip
A yummy moisturiser that prepares your skin, prolongs your tan AND smells like chocolate... yes please! This is an oil-free moisturiser that makes your skin feel silky smooth. Most body lotions out there contain oil which break down your fake tan resulting in it fading unevenly. Marissa knew what was needed when she created Chocolate Whip! I slather this on after I exfoliate, but do not apply on the day of fake tan application. I would apply my fake tan, then the following day, shower it off and continue with applying Chocolate Whip as it prolongs the tan and helps it fade evenly.
This moisturiser also contains Vitamin E which helps to reduce the appearance of stretch marks and age spots.

Cocoa Brown range is available in pharmacies and Penneys stores nationwide.

If you have followed me for quite some time now you may remember that last year I bought one of the most sought after makeup gadgets of 2016; the Stylpro Makeup Brush Cleaner. As amazed and all as I was by it (the whole three times I used it), the batteries died and I ran out of the cleaning solution and I just haven't used it since...
I can see now that I was blinded by the innovation and it is expensive for what it is, nonetheless it makes a great gadget for spot-cleaning several brushes for MUAs while they are working as it both washes and dries your brushes.

HOWEVER, I spied a little device in my work not so long and it was as cheap as chips. It was this pink Brush Cleaning Mat by Danielle Creations *I wish I could say I owned my own range but purely coincidence... for now ;)* for just €3.95. (Mat is also available in black)
The mat has suckers on the bottom of it so you place it in your sink and it doesn't budge. Each grooved section of the mat is designed specifically for different brushes. I use the old faithful Johnson's Baby Shampoo along with this mat; basically I squeeze some shampoo on to the mat, wiggle the brush through it and through the grooves on the mat, rinse under the tap and repeat until the brush rinses clean. Simples!

I can't fault this method whatsoever as it leaves my brushes clean as a whistle. I have a lot of brushes so it takes a bit of time but throw on some singalong music (Shania Twain was my choice this time!). It's so satisfying having them all washed and lined up to dry, isn't it?
If you can't get your hands on one of these cleaning mats, I know Primark/Penneys have their own version in their PS range. (I have seen a 'brush drying rack' too in their range on Snapchat so I must pick that up the next time I'm in Primark. And if you're really stuck, I know some people that use an old ribbed hot water bottle to clean their brushes and it works a treat.

How do you clean your makeup brushes? Comment below!

Welcome back to my second product of the week post!
This week's choice is:

Flormar is a pharmacy-brand and a very affordable range of cosmetics. I am a big fan of this range and you can read my previous experience at one of the masterclasses here.
They have lots of face products; ranging from foundations to concealers to colour-correctors. This particular foundation has been a favourite of mine now for some time. I used it for a while, then I would try something else but I always would go back to the Flormar Perfect Coverage; I have stuck with it now for a long time.

This foundation has been likened to Estee Lauder's Double Wear, however retails at only
€10.95 and promises to last on your skin for 12 hours. It's quite thick so I find one pump of product applied with my Powder 'n' Pout P230 HD Buffer brush is plenty. If you like full-coverage makeup like I do, then you will love this too. The coverage this foundation gives is literally flawless, or 'Perfect Coverage' so it does what it says on the tin. My skin can get oily throughout the day so I need to use a setting spray but this foundation lasts all day, without retouching.
Flormar's Perfect Coverage also contains SPF15 which is an added bonus.
This is a soft, yet rich texture and is available in four shades. I am super pale and I used to wear 101 but I wear shade 102 now all the time!

Flormar is available in selected pharmacies nationwide.
Former Mr.Benefit, Mark Rogers, is now the face behind Flormar so make sure you follow him over at @m.rbeauty

After seeing Carly from LiveLavishly post about her 'Product of the Week' on Facebook, I thought it would be a series I would love to start myself. I used to post my monthly favourites, and I wrote a post all about my favourite products for 2016. I got out of the habit to be honest, and although I loved doing those posts, a 'Product of the Week' appeals to me more now!

So, welcome to my first post in my 'Product of the Week' series.
My product of choice this week is the:

Rimmel #Insta Fix and Go Primer & Setting Spray

Rimmel recently launched a product range to help you get selfie-ready called the #Insta collection.
There are products to help you correct, contour and fix your makeup to have it flawless for those Instagram pics! It is genius marketing I have to say...
