I am sure you have heard all about the stunning new smoky eyeshadow palette 'Hot Fire' by Suzanne Jackson... and if you haven't heard about it yet, keep reading.
This palette is now like gold dust to get your hands on, so unless your local pharmacy has some left in stock, you will not get your hands on one of those much-sought after eyeshadow palettes until November. I grabbed one in my work as soon as they arrived because I knew the demand for them would be unprecedented.
So, let's have a look why this palette is a 'most-wanted' palette for makeup artists and lovers alike.

As you can see, the colours in the SOSU by SJ palette are warm, earthy and red-toned. These colours will suit just about anyone, I have seen looks done on different eye colours, but on blue in particular.. wow!
The palette consists of eight matte shades and four shimmer shades. The colours are super pigmented and yes, there is fall-out but in my opinion, that isn't necessarily a bad thing. Each eyeshadow has an intense colour pay-off, just look at my swatches below. By the way, as I was swatching them, they literally felt like butter!

The colours in the Hot Fire palette cover so many possible looks; from peaches to golden browns to warm, red-earthy tones. The stunning looks that I have seen MUAs, makeup bloggers and makeup lovers create all over Instagram are testament to this palette. As the website states: "You can create soft, neutral matte looks to take you right through from the office to day time glam and you can build up your tones and metallics for glam weekend looks."
See some looks below that I screenshotted from Instagram to show you the variety of looks that are possible with Hot Fire... (check out #SOSUbySJ on Insta if you want to see more!)

As Suzanne just said herself over the weekend, she created this palette "for the consumer, a girl that may not be super advanced in terms of blending... I just want to put on colours, smoke it up and just blend it super quick and that's what my colours do." Well said Sue! I don't know about you but this is exactly what I want in an eyeshadow.
Also, it is worth noting that the Hot Fire palette is paraben free and cruelty free, also vegan friendly.

Did you get your hands on a Hot Fire palette? I am no makeup artist but the next time I use it I will share with you the colours I like most!

I have always been a big supporter of Suzanne, and especially more so since she gave me the encouragement I needed when I met her last year to just go for it! Suzanne has outdone herself with this palette and I wish her all the success in the world with her ever-growing brand.

I have a long, long list of high-end and budget products that I really really really want.. I swear every day this list is getting longer. I narrowed down some of the higher-end (i.e. expensive) products that are on my wishlist right now for this post so here it goes:

(All numbered headings are clickable links, and are not affiliated links)

1. Urban Decay Naked Heat Palette €47.50
If you haven't heard of this palette yet, then you must be living under a rock because there have been so many snaps and Instagram posts about it! This palette looks stunning and the warm colour range is right up my street. Karen from LovelyGirlieBits has gorgeous pics of this palette and of a look she created with it over on her Instagram.

2. Benefit Galifornia Blusher €39
I haven't used Benefit blushers in years, I used to love them and this one is going to have to be purchased. It is a warm golden pink shade and Benefit have called it 'California sunshine in a box'... that's a sign! Benefit blushers always last me a lifetime so it's an investment... right?

3. Charlotte Tilbury Matte Revolution Lipstick: Pillow Talk €32
One that has been on my list for a while! A lipstick that is worshipped by beauty lovers everywhere; this has become quite the cult product by Charlotte Tilbury. It was released as a Valentines limited edition but because people everywhere were going crazy over this particular shade of lippy, it became part of Charlotte's collection. I just haven't brought myself to spending that on a lipstick.. I mean, I loose lipsticks all the time, only to discover them buried at the bottom of a handbag! We'll see...

4. Nars Sheer Glow Foundation €43
A product that I have seen so much about and I am dying to get my hands on it! At €43 a bottle, I would want to make sure it is the exact match for my skin; so whenever I do decide to buy it I'll be taking my time over what colour to get. Denise from Holy Chic is a huge fan of this foundation and she has a full review on the foundation here; a review that makes me want this product in my collection, like yesterday.

5. Laura Mercier Translucent Setting Powder €42
The setting powder of all setting powders! This is a best-selling product that I have been wanting for-everrr. This powder is so finely milled and light-weight that it doesn't settle into fine lines or wrinkles. I have read that it makes your skin look flawless and helps your makeup stay put all day. Win win!

6. Urban Decay All Nighter Setting Spray €30
Say hello to my second Urban Decay product featured in this wish list, but my oh my, I do love a setting spray. I have had the Urban Decay Chill setting spray, and after repurchasing it last year, I went and left my brand new bottle behind me in a hotel room, never to be seen again *insert crying face emoji*. I have tried several other setting sprays (if you follow my Snapchat, you'll know!) including Mac's Fix+, which I wasn't impressed by and FYI, it contains NO fixing properties I have been told. I am definitely going to buy this one though as it claims to "give your makeup serious staying powder"... sold!

7. Kiehls's Midnight Recovery Concentrate €44
A little skincare hero that apparently makes your skin smoother, fuller and younger looking over night! Described as a 'luxurious night-time serum', it is ideal for dull and tired skin. Kiehl's recommends to apply 2-3 drops at night on cleansed skin at night so a little goes a long way, meaning the bottle would last for a long time... right?

8. Kevin Murphy Shimmer Me Blonde €26
I spied this on Charlene Flanagan's Snapchat recently and she was absolutely raving about it. This spray by Kevin Murphy is a repairing spray for blonde hair and helps restore and refresh blonde and grey hair. It counteracts the yellow and gold tones in blonde/grey hairs. I use Touch of Silver purple shampoo every other time I wash my hair to do this so I'm really interested in trying this spray. Plus it's meant to smell delicious!

9. Tom Ford Soleil Blanc EDP 50ml €188
Yes, you read that right. One hundred and eighty eight euro for a 50ml bottle of perfume. I first seen this perfume on Ellen from Waxperts' Snapchat. I am a big fan of Tom Ford perfumes; I wore one as my wedding perfume which is an extremely special perfume and scent to me now. The last time I was in Brown Thomas I was testing perfumes, spotted this range and tried a squirt. Oh. MY. God. It is absolutely beautiful! I adore this scent but at this price, I would literally spray this perfume maybe once a year.

So there are just some of the products on my beauty wishlist! What products are on your wishlist?

I'll share my budget-brand beauty wishlist with you soon.

Welcome to my latest 'Product of the Week' post. This post is about not one, but two of my holy grail products:
Cocoa Brown Tough Stuff & Cocoa Brown Chocolate Whip

I love fake tanning (I'm super pale so a bit of tan works wonders!) but it's essential to make sure my skin is fake tan-ready.
In order to ensure your fake tan looks tip-top, you MUST exfoliate and moisturise your skin! You need to do this for a couple of days before applying your tan of choice. If I was applying tan on the Friday night for the weekend I would start to exfoliate and moisturise on the Wednesday morning.

These two products are key to flawless skin for even fake tan application. If you haven't tried either of this, I highly recommend them!

Cocoa Brown Tough Stuff
This is thee best body scrub I ever used. It is so gritty, making it ideal to exfoliate your skin and to remove any old stubborn tan from your last application! It works brilliantly on the rough areas of your skin such as elbows, knees, feet etc. It has quite a runny consistency so if you prefer, you can use it on dry skin for an even deeper exfoliation. It's gritty, pink and has Cocoa Brown's signature Tahitian Gardenia scent.. what more could you ask for in a no-nonsense body scrub.
(Always moisturise after exfoliating. Never exfoliate on the day you are applying fake tan.)

Cocoa Brown Chocolate Whip
A yummy moisturiser that prepares your skin, prolongs your tan AND smells like chocolate... yes please! This is an oil-free moisturiser that makes your skin feel silky smooth. Most body lotions out there contain oil which break down your fake tan resulting in it fading unevenly. Marissa knew what was needed when she created Chocolate Whip! I slather this on after I exfoliate, but do not apply on the day of fake tan application. I would apply my fake tan, then the following day, shower it off and continue with applying Chocolate Whip as it prolongs the tan and helps it fade evenly.
This moisturiser also contains Vitamin E which helps to reduce the appearance of stretch marks and age spots.

Cocoa Brown range is available in pharmacies and Penneys stores nationwide.

If you have followed me for quite some time now you may remember that last year I bought one of the most sought after makeup gadgets of 2016; the Stylpro Makeup Brush Cleaner. As amazed and all as I was by it (the whole three times I used it), the batteries died and I ran out of the cleaning solution and I just haven't used it since...
I can see now that I was blinded by the innovation and it is expensive for what it is, nonetheless it makes a great gadget for spot-cleaning several brushes for MUAs while they are working as it both washes and dries your brushes.

HOWEVER, I spied a little device in my work not so long and it was as cheap as chips. It was this pink Brush Cleaning Mat by Danielle Creations *I wish I could say I owned my own range but purely coincidence... for now ;)* for just €3.95. (Mat is also available in black)
The mat has suckers on the bottom of it so you place it in your sink and it doesn't budge. Each grooved section of the mat is designed specifically for different brushes. I use the old faithful Johnson's Baby Shampoo along with this mat; basically I squeeze some shampoo on to the mat, wiggle the brush through it and through the grooves on the mat, rinse under the tap and repeat until the brush rinses clean. Simples!

Pic Credit:

I can't fault this method whatsoever as it leaves my brushes clean as a whistle. I have a lot of brushes so it takes a bit of time but throw on some singalong music (Shania Twain was my choice this time!). It's so satisfying having them all washed and lined up to dry, isn't it?
If you can't get your hands on one of these cleaning mats, I know Primark/Penneys have their own version in their PS range. (I have seen a 'brush drying rack' too in their range on Snapchat so I must pick that up the next time I'm in Primark. And if you're really stuck, I know some people that use an old ribbed hot water bottle to clean their brushes and it works a treat.

How do you clean your makeup brushes? Comment below!

Welcome back to my second product of the week post!
This week's choice is:

Flormar is a pharmacy-brand and a very affordable range of cosmetics. I am a big fan of this range and you can read my previous experience at one of the masterclasses here.
They have lots of face products; ranging from foundations to concealers to colour-correctors. This particular foundation has been a favourite of mine now for some time. I used it for a while, then I would try something else but I always would go back to the Flormar Perfect Coverage; I have stuck with it now for a long time.

This foundation has been likened to Estee Lauder's Double Wear, however retails at only
€10.95 and promises to last on your skin for 12 hours. It's quite thick so I find one pump of product applied with my Powder 'n' Pout P230 HD Buffer brush is plenty. If you like full-coverage makeup like I do, then you will love this too. The coverage this foundation gives is literally flawless, or 'Perfect Coverage' so it does what it says on the tin. My skin can get oily throughout the day so I need to use a setting spray but this foundation lasts all day, without retouching.
Flormar's Perfect Coverage also contains SPF15 which is an added bonus.
This is a soft, yet rich texture and is available in four shades. I am super pale and I used to wear 101 but I wear shade 102 now all the time!

Flormar is available in selected pharmacies nationwide.
Former Mr.Benefit, Mark Rogers, is now the face behind Flormar so make sure you follow him over at @m.rbeauty

After seeing Carly from LiveLavishly post about her 'Product of the Week' on Facebook, I thought it would be a series I would love to start myself. I used to post my monthly favourites, and I wrote a post all about my favourite products for 2016. I got out of the habit to be honest, and although I loved doing those posts, a 'Product of the Week' appeals to me more now!

So, welcome to my first post in my 'Product of the Week' series.
My product of choice this week is the:

Rimmel #Insta Fix and Go Primer & Setting Spray

Rimmel recently launched a product range to help you get selfie-ready called the #Insta collection.
There are products to help you correct, contour and fix your makeup to have it flawless for those Instagram pics! It is genius marketing I have to say...

I shared a meme recently about going into Boots for toothpaste and walking out with half the beauty aisle, so I'm not the only one this happens to! And I work in a pharmacy too, but I literally cannot help myself.
I popped in yesterday to buy some of the empty travel bottles to decant product in to for going away for a few days… and I obviously ended up with several other items. I thought I would share with you what I bought as some items are new to me but others are current faves:

Boots, Boots haul, beauty, travel

I shared this on Facebook and Instagram recently but I haven't written an 'everyday makeup routine' post on here in ages so I thought I would share.

(Warning: Photo heavy post!)
In case you didn't know... Las Vegas is one of my most favourite places in the world! I have been a few times and will be returning this September, I can not freaking WAIT! I know it's not everyone's cup of tea, but I love Sin City.

Monday, April 17, 2017

I'm veering away from my usual beauty reviews for this post to tell you all a little bit more about me... although if you follow me across my social media platforms, some of these facts will come as no surprise!
This may not interest you at all but here goes...

The wait is now over... Ice Goddess is here and it is, OH. SO. PRETTY.

When I see pink now, I automatically think Cocoa Brown...
Cocoa Brown have built the brand around the colour pink so when a big pink envelope arrived in the post, I was SUPER excited!

And low and behold, it was the new ICE GODDESS Oil by Marissa Carter
Previously, the Ice Goddess Shimmering Dry Body Oil was launched as a 30ml bottle part of The Goddess Collection in October last year, however due to demand, Marissa decided to launch the 50ml bottle which has been available on the shelves since March 7th.

The Cocoa Brown Ice Goddess by Marissa Carter follows on from the massive success of the original Golden Goddess Oil (favoured by Khloe Kardashian!) and the Rose Gold Goddess Oil.
I mean... just look at how pretty it is....

Product Empties: Part 1

Welcome to my first product empties post. I love having a nosey and reading other blogposts on product empties so I was excited to finally put my own post together!

product empties

I was gathering up some empties for a while so there's quite a few (as a beauty blogger, I am naturally a product junkie and if I love a product, naturally I will use every single last drop)... I hope you enjoy my rundown on products I've used and if I would honestly repurchase the products again.

My Custom Illustration

I have seen various custom illustrations across social media channels lately and it was something I thought was an awesome idea

I then came across a very talented girl called Linda Kelly; if you haven’t seen her other work, you need to check her Facebook and Instagram pages out now >>> @lindakellyillustrations

I mean, just look!! My very own custom illustration!
When I first seen it, I was amazed at the detail and every time I look at it I notice something else.
The illustration was done using my blog profile photo, which is obviously one of our wedding photos. Look at the details of the back of my dress, flowers and everything. It’s incredible! Linda added in some makeup products and of course, our two little kittens, Penny and Ivy feature! Their markings are spot on by the way, and can we take a moment to appreciate their pink bow ties... CUTENESS!!

If this is something you want for yourself or as a gift, I highly recommend getting in touch with Linda ~ Linda Kelly Illustrations.

Happy New Year guys!
I hope you all had a wonderful Christmas and New Year.
Have you made any New Year resolutions? I haven't made any 'resolutions' as such, but I have set myself several goals for 2017.
I won't get into them just yet but like the quote says...

So I thought I'd kick off my 2017 blogposts with one illustrating my most popular blogposts from 2016. I shared these in a countdown series over on my Facebook page (@stardustbelleblog) but just in case you missed it, I decided to do a cumulative post here.
I found it so interesting to see what guys enjoyed the most, and it makes me very excited for creating more and varied content for this year!
So counting down from 5 to the most-read post from last year:

5. Cocoa Brown Kind Collection

My review from June of the newly launched Cocoa Brown Kind Collection comes in at 5th place. Soon after these travel-size products were launched, Marissa launched the 200ml tubes (and I was lucky enough to be at a wonderful event in Primark HQ for this launch). I still use this shampoo and conditioner, I love it.

4. Flormar Flower Tales Collection

My review from July of the gorgeous new products from Flormar is next up at number 4. The new collection, which included the Smooth Touch foundation and Creamy Blush Stick, added to my love of this incredible (and affordable) cosmetic brand. I am always raving about Flormar on my social media channels! Honestly, I haven't used the blush stick in a long time however, I still love the foundation. Reading this earlier posts of mine makes me very happy to see how my blog photos have evolved!
Check out my review here and to see if this foundation would be right for you>>>

3. Cocoa Brown Rose Gold Goddess Oil Limited Edition

Here we have another Cocoa Brown product review featured in my most-read blogposts. I feel like this is only right as I am a huge Cocoa Brown advocate and I have been since Marissa Carter created this ever-growing brand.
When I received my very own personalised bottle of the highly-sought after *Rose Gold* Goddess Oil.. yes, personalised.. I was ecstatic to say the least!
Another absolute beauty has been added to the Goddess collection since, Ice Goddess, which I will have a review posted soon.

2. Christmas Gift Guide: For Her

Credit: Hannah Maggs from

My first gift guide was so well received by you, I was delighted so thank you all. It is a blogpost that will apply throughout the year when you need inspiration for a birthday, an anniversary or just a Tuesday! It features some amazing gifts, ranging from skincare to stationery to spa days.

1. Powder 'n' Pout Makeup Brushes

And at number 1, well it could only be my review from July of the amazing Powder 'n' Pout makeup brushes. Again, I have been a big advocate for Aisling's brushes since the early days. It is incredible to have been part of Aisling's journey for various events in the latter half of 2016.
The Powder 'n' Pout brushes are made in Europe and are made with the highest-grade hair available for makeup brushes. The brushes are so affordable and no other range comes close in my opinion!
Check out my review here to read my thoughts on some of the best-selling brushes from the range, their uses (all multi-use, win!) and where to get them >>>

There you have my top 5 most popular posts from 2016! I look forward to reading back on this post this time next year and I'm excited to see what my top 5 for 2017 will turn out to be...

I posted a message of thanks on my Facebook but I want to take this opportunity now to thank you all  here for your amazing support, encouragement, kindness and positivity throughout 2016. I set this blog up in December 2010 (six years ago, imagine) and after some motivation and inspiration, I wnated to go for it but it took alot for me to make this public! But how happy am I that I did. I have been so lucky to meet and get to know some incredible people along the way ~ you all know who you are. I have had some real 'pinch-me' moments in the last six months, and that is all thanks to you!
With lots of plans and lots of content ideas for I am so excited for what is to come and 2017 is shaping up to be an exciting year!
