My Cocoa Brown Collection

As you all know by now, I am a Cocoa Brown girl at heart.

I have been an avid follower of Cocoa Brown's CEO Marissa since her days of owning her salon, Carter Beauty in Blackrock; through her initial stages of coming up with the concept of Cocoa Brown; until now, owner of the ever-expanding, best-selling tanning range in Ireland.
I have been a major advocate for the Cocoa Brown range since day one, and working in a pharmacy has given me the opportunity to introduce so many customers to this wonderful, extensive tanning range. It is a brand that I hold close to my heart.
All the products in the range are very affordable and there is everything you need for a flawless, glowing tan. AND just look how beautiful the packaging is; pink is the colour theme throughout Cocoa Brown making the range unmistakable (I must have pink in my blood by this stage) and extremely pretty, making these products all absolute must-haves for any beauty/vanity stations.

Cocoa Brown is an award-winning tan (literally every product in the range has won awards!), which has stormed the tanning market worldwide. It now has a cult beauty status, with hero products if you will, among tanning lovers, beauty lovers and bloggers everywhere.
Get this for a fact... Cocoa Brown is only turning 4 years old next month, and it currently sells FOUR products EVERY MINUTE worldwide. . . That is incredible!

"I listened to what my customers wanted and worked really hard to create products they love. . . I began working on a fake tan formula which didn't need to develop overnight. Nine months later, I launched Cocoa Brown 1-Hour Tan on the Irish market. It's unique selling point is that it develops in as little as an hour."
Marissa Carter, 13/06/2014

Marissa asked her clients in her own salon at the time what they wanted from a fake tan, and what they mostly wanted, and what all ladies want, was:
 > No Biscuity Smell
 > Quick and
 > Natural colour, not orange!

Me with my Cocoa Brown collection! I am wearing the Instant Tan Bronzing Gel in Matte here.

Professional Beauty Show with Powder 'n' Pout

*Warning: Picture Heavy Post*

A couple of weeks ago I had the absolute pleasure of joining the Powder 'n' Pout team at the Professional Beauty Show in the RDS, Dublin... and what an experience it was.
It was a Professional-only show, which made it all the more awesome to be part of it!

It was a super early start, and doing my hair (I had curled it the night before and thankfully I only had to fix it a little) and a full face of makeup at 3.30am was a strange feeling but thankfully the makeup I used lasted me alllll day and I was asked alot on Snapchat what I had used so read on for all the juicy details . . . (click on any of the descriptions for links on where to buy)

Mastering Your Makeup with Flormar

Sunday past was a really fun day spent with the Flormar team and Michelle Regazzoli-Stone, aka MRS Makeup, in the beautiful Solis Lough Eske Castle, Co. Donegal.

For those of you who have maybe never heard of Flormar, it is an affordable range of luxury makeup products, with everything from nail polish to primers to gel eyeliners. The range was relaunched in Ireland last summer and has been more successful so far than what the CEO, Paul Mooney, ever thought it would be.
With over 300 Flormar stands in pharmacies throughout the country, and it's first retail store in Ireland opening soon, it is a cosmetic brand that is now a household name.
The products are high quality and there is such a variation of products available; you can have a full makeup kit from the Flormar range for extremely good value for money.

I met the wonderful Paul Mooney, CEO of Flormar and Creative Director of Flawless, when I walked in to Lough Eske. I first met Paul last weekend at the Professional Beauty Show I attended in the RDS and he is a true, genuine gent. It was a pleasant surprise that he remembered me from the RDS, I was delighted!

Solis Lough Eske is such an amazing location and the sun was shining, which showed it off to it's full potential!

iPhone 7 baby!
All the glamorous ladies were taking their seats in the function room where the Flormar team had everything set up; a stage for the demo, a screen to see the demo and products up close and a lush pop-up shop filled with Flormar and Flawless goodies!

The event kicked off with Paul introducing himself and telling us all his story of how he ended up where he is today. He is an inspiration and a legend in the beauty industry, after all he is the #CosmeticsKing!

Paul then introduced Michelle from, and Michelle told us a bit about herself. Michelle is an extremely talented MUA, with Rosanna Davidson, Suzanne Jackson and Pippa O'Connor as regular clients.

Michelle then got stuck in to her demo on the lovely Laura and talked about each of the Flormar products she was using for the look, including (product list and links below, just click on the product name):

Illuminating Primer Makeup Base > "This primer is the difference in your makeup lasting 3-4 hours to 8 hours!" Michelle advised to "really look at your face in the mirror before applying primer, only to the oily parts of your face and do not apply to dry patches because your skin will constantly be trying to breath through dry patches." I am a big fan of this primer and always recommend it!

Double Radiance Primer Highlighter . . . Amazing for that glow!

Perfect Coverage Foundation . . . Full coverage foundation, I love the coverage this gives.

CC Cream . . . Michelle used the peach coloured CC Cream on the model's forehead. She said too that she used this CC Cream as a primer on a bridal party last week and it worked a treat!

Perfect Coverage Liquid Concealer . . . Different shades to match with the different shades of Flormar Perfect Coverage foundation.

Eye Perfection Primer . . . New and available in four different shades. Gives your eye makeup lasting power and is amazing for any discolouration on the eyelids. I use this myself and I love it.

Make Up Fix Spray . . . This stuff is incredible!

Bronzing Powder . . . Michelle used this as the transition colour for the model's eye makeup and it made such a difference!

x10 Sculpting Mascara & Revolution Mascara Waterproof . . . Both these mascaras look incredible, the applicator on the Revolution mascara is what Michelle raved about!

SoSu Lashes Sue & Duo glue . . . SoSu lashes speak for themselves really! The Sue lashes were from the 3D Silk Luxury range.

Eyebrow Fixator Mascara . . . Excellent for grooming any wild eyebrow hairs.

Eyebrow Shadow . . . Available in different shades to suit you.

Eyeshadow Palettes . . . Michelle couldn't speak highly enough of the pigment of the mono shadows and palettes!

Flawless Contour Palette . . . A cream contour palette, I have one and it's super easy to use! A cream and powder set is going to be launched soon!

Terracotta Blush . . . This mineral powders are gorgeous! I use A Touch of Apricot when I am tanned and I always get asked what it is. The powders are baked and the colours are so beautiful.

Long-Wearing Lipstick L14 & Revolution Lipstick R05 . . . The R05 is one of Pippa's favourite lippies, a beautiful pink shade.

Loose Powder . . . Each of Flormar's loose powders have a slight colour in them, making them a perfect setting finish for your makeup.

Throughout the demo, Paul walked around the floor with the microphone, while Michelle answered all the questions and she gave some great tips and advice, including "eyebrows are sisters not twins!".

The finished look on the model was just beautiful. The more Michelle talked about and used these products the more I wanted each and every one of them!

We were given our goodie bags when the demo was finished, which contained several fab products ranging from ProperCorn popcorn (yum) to shampoo. (I'll show you the goodies on Snapchat this week, @stardust_belle)

The pop-up shop was then opened and all of the team members were on hand; Michelle Ross (NeedsNotWants), Jess Corbally (JessCorbsMakeup) included, to give anyone advice on the products they were interested in. The Flormar range is in my work, so I have a little (not so little!) list compiled of all the products I am planning to buy before the weekend *insert monkey with hands over eyes emoji*.

As well as having the pleasure of talking with Paul and meeting Michelle, I was delighted to meet fellow blogger Fiona from Little Miss Roux who I have been following for some time and is also an avid Flormar fan, and her friend Dee from Makeupartistrybydee.

It was a wonderful event and I thoroughly enjoyed every minute of it.
If you are a fan of Flormar and there is a masterclass on near you, I highly recommend you go!

I will snap the products that I will buy this week from the Flormar range so be sure to add me on Snapchat, @stardust_belle

The Flormar range is available in pharmacies nationwide, including Brennans Life Pharmacy in Carndonagh, Co. Donegal,

[PS. I got lots of compliments and questions on Snapchat that evening about my hair! I swear by the Cocoa Brown Kind Shampoo & Conditioner and then I simply used the Got2B Gaurdian Angel Heat Protection Spray and then curled it with my curling wand... that was it. I used literally no other products because I only realised when I went to use it that I had run out of hairspray and although I have the volumising dust, I had no time to use it!
Snapchat filters are life by the way...]
I am mid-talking here, and yes talking, I am now brave enough to talk on Snapchat!!

That's all for now!

September is out, October is in and with it comes Halloween, woolly jumpers, boots, open fires, darker nails/lips etc...

It was another very exciting month for me as I got to go to the Professional Beauty Show in the RDS, but that is a whole other post that I am putting together for you.

Welcome to the latest post in my 'Monthly Favourites' series. I love sharing my favourite products with you all and hearing your thoughts.

Read on for my top ten picks for my favourite products for the month of September, in no particular order . . .

1 ~ Cailyn Dizzolv' It Makeup Melt Cleansing Balm

I first tried this when I got a sample size in the goody bag at Suzanne Jackson's workshop. I loved it from the first time I used it and I just recently repurchased another jar. This stuff is amazing! I mentioned it before in "My Night-Time Routine" blog post.
The balm-type texture responds to your body temperature and melts in to a silky liquid cleanser once you rub it into your skin. You can see it literally dissolving your makeup, even the most stubborn waterproof makeup (and yes, even waterproof mascara!). I apply it all over my face, including my eyes, and use a hot damp facecloth to remove every trace of makeup. My face feels so clean after using this, literally clean as a whistle. It still amazes me every time I use it.
Containing aloe vera and calendula flower extract, the Cailyn balm is gentle and mild, making it suitable for all skin types and leaving your skin super hydrated.

The full Cailyn range is available in selected pharmacies nationwide, online here, and Inish Pharmacy here.

2 ~ SoSu 100% Human Hair Lashes, GiGi

These lashes by Suzanne Jackson, a.k.a. SoSueMe, were highly-anticipated and super-hyped for their release, and if you have tried a pair you will know why. These lashes are A M A Z I N G. (and also sold out in alot of places, hence why I had no box in my photo to show you!)
The Gigi lashes are in the lower-priced bracket, the human hair lashes. There is also a luxury selection of silk lashes, which obviously I have my eye on a few pairs (pardon the pun!).
The GiGi lashes are a full strip which start short in the inner corner and gradually get longer towards the outer corner. They are super-lightweight on the eyes, I have never had trouble or irritability with them and I wear contact lenses so that is saying something!
I use the Duo Striplash Adhesive for these; the glue recommended to use with these lashes. *The SoSu lashes do not come with eyelash glue*
I have received so many compliments when I've been wearing these lashes, so I will be definitely wearing them more in the future. I am excited to try the luxury silk lashes!

The SoSu cosmetic range is available in pharmacies nationwide and online here.

3 ~ Lancomé Energie de Vie The Overnight Recovery Sleeping Mask

I have mentioned this product before in my June monthly favourites post, and yes I love it that much! The Energie De Vie range has been Lancome's biggest launch to date and it's easy to see why. This product is simply amazing.
There are a couple of different ways you can use it. . .
For every day use, apply a thin layer on clean skin and leave on overnight.
For when your skin needs some TLC, apply a generous layer on clean skin and leave for ten minutes. After ten minutes, either remove the excess product or blend it in.
This product transforms with the heat of your skin, and as it does so, it transforms into hydrating water droplets... So lush. This mask plumps your skin and leaves it looking hydrated, smoother and fresher. The difference I see in my skin the next morning after using this mask is remarkable. It is a wonder product!

Lancomé Energie de Vie is available in Debenhams stores and online here.

4 ~ Botanics 100% Organic Rosewater Spritz

This is another product that I mentioned before, this time in "My Night-Time Routine"
I discovered this toner from the Botanics range when I was looking for a new toner in Boots one day (I'll admit, I only started using toner recently.. bold, I know!) I spray this generously on my face after cleansing and it is super refreshing, I love it! I then wipe it away with a cotton pad, taking with it all the last traces of makeup. My skin feels so clean and refreshed after using this.

Available in Boots stores nationwide.

5 ~ Bellamianta Luxury Self Tinted Tanning Lotion

I have been using the Bellamianta Rapid Mousse for a while now but when I was recently gifted a whole hamper full of Bellamianta goodies, I seized my chance to try out the Self Tinted Tanning Lotion. I was so pleasantly surprised by it! I had heard mixed reports about it from working in the pharmacy, but I just love it. I have a full review on the Bellamianta range right here.

Bellamianta Luxury Tanning range is available in pharmacies and salons nationwide, and online here.

6 ~ Paese Long Cover Foundation

I had never heard of this makeup brand until recently, and I am wondering how I never knew of it!
I received some samples to try out and I am amazed at this brand. The foundation, in particular, is awesome. It has a spatula to dispense the product, instead of a pump. When I put this on the back of my hand, the texture feels really thick but as soon as I apply it, it feels so light on the skin and blends so well. The coverage is medium to full.
I always apply this foundation with my Powder 'n' Pout P230 HD Buffer Brush, making the foundation blend like a dream and what a flawless finish it gives! It lasts on my skin all day without any need for touch ups. It also contains SPF6; it is an added bonus for your skin if your foundation has SPF! This makeup is also formulated with vitamins A, C, E and Shea Butter to moisturise and protect your skin, along with pro-vitamin B5 to soothe any irritation.

Paese Cosmetics are available online and see a full list of stockists here.

7 ~ Tarte Tartelette in Bloom Eyeshadow Palette

This palette contains 12 glorious, long-wear, shades, a mix of matte and lustre shades, and I love each one as much as the last. This palette was made for me; the nudes, taupes, browns and aubergine shades are the colours I love to wear on my eyes. The colours are so versatile so you can create any look you wish, day or night.
The colours are super-pigmented due to the Amazonian-clay formula. And just look at the packaging, I mean, how could anyone resist that!
The palette comes with a step-by-step guide illustrating two different looks you can create using these colours; it's a great help if you are unsure where to put what colours!

Tarte cosmetics are available (and get a closer look at the shades) here, and in Sephora stores and online here.

8 ~ Powder 'n' Pout The Bullet P325

My brush of choice for my monthly favourites is this little superstar, the P325. I have a review on more Powder 'n' Pout brushes here including this one. The Bullet is amazing for smudging shadows, building depth and for under-eye shadowing. The short bristles on the brush means there is minimal fall-down of product under the eyes on to your cheeks, win win!

The Powder 'n' Pout makeup brush range is available in the Powder 'n' Pout salon in Carndonagh, selected pharmacies nationwide and online here.

9 ~ Seventeen Nail Polish, shade Mocha-tini

This one is a little late to the game because I only tried it recently but it is a gem.
I very rarely wear ordinary nail polish. I love to have Shellac or Gellux nails done, because the nature of my work, regular nail polish usually chips off after the first day and does not last. I picked this up to wear for the Professional Beauty Show last weekend as I ran out of time to get my nails done.
This nail polish is a bargain and I can't get over how many days it lasted before it needed re-done. It is nude colour, but I'm definitely going to pick up some darker colours of this nail polish to try out.

Seventeen cosmetics are available in Boots stores nationwide and online here.

10 ~ iPhone 7 Plus

This had to make an appearance.. look how pretty it is!
I am an Apple geek, I own lots of Apply products and I am a sucker for the launch of a new iPhone. Like the true Apple nerd that I am, I was so excited for the keynote a few weeks ago which announced iOS10 and the new iPhone 7 and 7 Plus. I owned the 6 Plus so I would never downsize and the fancy camera with two lenses on the 7 Plus was a must!
So, after much deliberation and research (because I was changing providers) I pre-ordered the 128GB 7 Plus in Rose Gold. The bigger memory wasn't even a question because seeing "Storage is almost full" everyday on my 6 Plus was wearing thin! My new provider told me my new iPhone would arrive between September 23rd and October 14th, and low and behold on September 23rd it arrived! To say I was excited is an understatement. It's so fast, and so pretty, and no worries of storage YAY. It feels very delicate; I am still waiting on a cover I ordered from Amazon, but that's not going to stop me using it... Like the quote I had on my Facebook page, "I've come to realise my right hand is basically an iPhone"!

What products were you loving throughout September? I would love to see them!
