My Night-Time Routine

I have been asked before when I've snapped snippets of my night-time routine for a post on my full routine so here it is. (snapchat: snapchat_belle)

I am constantly changing my routine but I have recently discovered some absolute gems, mostly drugstore products, but a couple of splurges that are totally worth it.
As I am now in my thirties (!!!), even though I am makeup obsessed, my focus lately has been more so on skincare.

I have a couple of different routines that I do every other night. I don't do the routines in any order, just which ever way I fancy doing...

First up we have 'Routine 1':

1 ~ Nivea Daily Essentials Double Effect Eye Make Up Remover
I have raved about this product in last month's favourites, which you can read here. It is the best EMU remover I have ever used and will be in my night-time routine for the foreseeable! This product is half price in Boots at the minute, you can get it quick here.. I already stocked up, as you can see this bottle is almost finished.

2 ~ No7 Soft & Soothed Gentle Cleanser
This cleanser claims to 'clean, comfort and hydrate' the skin. Any of you who follow me on Snapchat will know that I was not a fan of this cleanser at the beginning, however I wouldn't not use it because I hate wasting a product so I persisted. I don't mind it so much now but to be honest I don't think I would repurchase it. It is quite a thick consistency so I feel like it leaves a lot of residue compared to milkier cleansers. I am going to use this until it's finished, then I am going to go for a cleanser from the Declare range, which is available in Inish Pharmacy. The No7 range is available from Boots.

3 ~ Bioderma Sebium H2O Purifying Cleansing Micelle Solution
This is another product that has been featured in my monthly favourites, my June favourites, and you can read that post right here. I use this after I use the No7 cleanser, some of you might think 'whaaat?' but that's how I have been using it lately and it has been working for me! One step cleansing does not work for me, I always double-cleanse so I can count on the Bioderma Micellar Water to remove all the final traces of my makeup. It cleanses my skin without drying it out and this one in particular is perfect for combination/oily skin. Bioderma is available from Cara Pharmacy.

4 ~ Botanics 100% Organic Rosewater Toning Spritz
Toners should always be used after cleansing to tighten the pores and I have only recently introduced this particular toner into my night-time routine and WELL, I just love it! It claims to "cleanse impurities and freshen" and I can confirm that it does just that! I spray this generously all over my face and neck after cleansing and wipe off with cotton pads. It feels so nice and fresh on the skin after cleansing, I don't know how it has taken me so long to use a spritz like this. Rosewater has been around for centuries to cleanse and tone the skin, making this toning spritz a win win! The Botanics range is available in Boots.

Secondly, we have 'Routine 2':

1 ~ Cailyn Dizzolv' It Makeup Melt Cleansing Balm
This product is actually magic. I first tried it when I got a sample size in the goody bag from SoSueMe's workshop back in April and I could not believe just how good it was, I just had to buy the full size product. One dollop of this stuff actually 'melts' away all of your makeup, including the most stubborn of eye makeup. It has a balm-like consistency at first but it responds to your body temperature, so as you put it to your skin it melts to a silky oil to remove all your makeup. So, I dampen a face cloth with hot water, scoop out enough product that I need with the little spatula that comes with the balm, and rub the product all over my face and eyes. I then wipe it all away with the face cloth and my face is clean as a whistle! It doesn't dry out the skin at all, containing aloe vera and calendula flower extract. Charlene Green MUA is a big fan of this product and has snapchatted showing how well it works. The Cailyn range is available from inish Pharmacy

2 ~ Botanics 100% Organic Rosewater Toning Spritz
Here we have the same product again, I finish off my cleansing with the spritz to tighten pores and freshen my face. It feels so good on the skin!

Finally, I have a selection up next that I use to complete my night-time routine:

1 ~ Pestle and Mortar Pure Hyaluronic Serum
This serum from the Irish brand Pestle and Mortar is simple, 'clean', light-weight, fragrance-free and... incredible! I use it at night time, after toning and before moisturising, it absorbs in seconds. I use it at night because it is over night that your skin does all it's repairing. It is a splurge (for me anyway) but it is worth it! It hydrates the skin and smooths fine lines and helps restore elasticity in the skin. The serum targets lines and dullness, and by doing so, it restores a healthy glow and plumpness to the skin. Hyaluronic Acid holds 1000 times it's weight in water (!!!) making it the most powerful natural moisturising ingredient! This serum can also be used as a smoothing makeup primer. The packaging of Pestle and Mortar products is sophisticated, and clinical. The other two P&M products, Hydrate and Superstar Retinol Night Oil, are on my wish list! Pestle and Mortar is available in Cara Pharmacy.

2 ~ Josie Maran Argan Oil
I talked about this little beauty in my Sephora haul post that you can read here. This oil is another splurge but I had read so much about it, I had to try it! I use this a couple of nights throughout the week after applying the serum. It is so pure and is a treat for the skin. I also use it on the patch of psoriasis on my scalp at night and I have noticed a big difference.

3 ~ Utan and Tone Nourishing Night Creme
I received this product in June's Glossybox and I can safely say, it is a product that I don't think would ever have been on my radar so if it wasn't for Glossybox I would never have tried it. I use this when I have tan on as it is builds a gradual tan overnight because tan on my face always fades annoyingly quick. This night creme is packed with different vitamins, antioxidants and hyaluronic acid that I talked about above so, as well as giving your face a natural glow, it leaves the skin feeling super soft and radiant. I have looked for local stockists but I can't find any but it is available online here.

4 ~ Lancome Energie De Vie Overnight Recovery Sleeping Mask
This product was in my June Favourites post here and it is still an absolute favourite of mine. I apply this after the P&M serum. It hydrates my skin immensely and makes it so smooth and fresh. You can either use a small amount as a night cream, use slightly more as a sleeping mask or use a generous amount, leave it for fifteen minutes then either rub it in or wipe off the excess gently with tissue. Available in Debenhams and larger Boots stores. There are two other products in the Energie De Vie range that are on my wish list!

Considering my night-time routine used to consist only of makeup removing wipes, this seems like a lot of steps but trust me, my skin is thanking me for it!

I would love to know what is your night-time routine?

Thanks for reading
