#KindBloggerBoss Cocoa Brown Bloggers Breakfast

*Warning: Picture heavy post!!*

I was absolutely thrilled, a little overwhelmed, and very lucky, to be invited last week to a wonderful event organised by the Cocoa Brown team; Marissa, Stephanie and Kate, a Bloggers Breakfast in Penneys HQ to celebrate the launch of Cocoa Brown's new Kind haircare range.

It was a super early morning for me but I was determined to go to this event as opportunities like this don't come often.
It was my first event as a blogger and hosted by a big brand in none other than Penneys HQ on Parnell Street, Dublin. I have been an advocate for Marissa and Cocoa Brown since the very very beginning so it was an honour to be part of this event, and it felt right that a Cocoa Brown launch was my first event as a blogger.
I was nervous but as soon as I arrived and greeted by the CB ladies, they made me feel so welcome. It was a pleasure to meet Marissa in this setting, (I have met her at one of her workshops before) and to finally meet Stephanie and Kate after being in contact for so long and they have been a great help to me. I was very excited to be there and to be part of such a great morning.

The event was to celebrate the launch of the new Cocoa Brown Kind Shampoo & Conditioner 200ml packs in Penneys' stores. To be at an event in Penneys HQ with some of Ireland's biggest bloggers, well, I was pinching myself to say the least. The Penneys/Primark international headquarters are incredible; so modern and on trend, as you'd expect them to be!

The area set aside for the Cocoa Brown event was laid out beautifully with goody bags at every place setting filled with our own bottles of the shampoo and conditioner and our own #KindBloggerBoss bar of chocolate, mmmm! And the fashion breakfast spread that Penneys put on for us.. well, it was outstanding and so tasty, it looked too good to eat! Lots of healthy goodness was on offer; gluten free protein balls, green juices, avocado snacks, fruit skewers and much more so thank you to the fabulous ladies at Primark for arranging that.

After everyone got their teas and coffees, Marissa gave a little talk about her new Kind collection and introduced some of the Penneys team; the head of beauty & home, and the head of buying ~ lucky lucky ladies.

It was SO lovely to have the opportunity to meet, talk with and get acquainted with other bloggers, and add each other on Snapchat and the rest!
It was an incredible feeling to be mingling with some of Ireland's top bloggers whom I look up to and am inspired by, and bloggers like myself who were also at their first event. Everyone was so friendly and the time just vanished!

I have reviewed the Cocoa Brown Kind range here ~ I am a big fan of this range.
I was waiting hard on the new 200ml sizes to be released so I have been using the shampoo and conditioner since the event and I just love it. I have said in my review that these products smell divine! The Kind range makes my hair so soft and volumised - I have even had people complimenting me on how healthy and volumised my hair looks.

The Cocoa Brown Kind range is available in Penneys stores for just €3 each (bargain!!) and pharmacies nationwide!
Thank you Marissa, Stephanie and Kate for having me at the Bloggers Breakfast, you sure know how to throw an awesome event :)

My Night-Time Routine

I have been asked before when I've snapped snippets of my night-time routine for a post on my full routine so here it is. (snapchat: snapchat_belle)

I am constantly changing my routine but I have recently discovered some absolute gems, mostly drugstore products, but a couple of splurges that are totally worth it.
As I am now in my thirties (!!!), even though I am makeup obsessed, my focus lately has been more so on skincare.

I have a couple of different routines that I do every other night. I don't do the routines in any order, just which ever way I fancy doing...

First up we have 'Routine 1':

1 ~ Nivea Daily Essentials Double Effect Eye Make Up Remover
I have raved about this product in last month's favourites, which you can read here. It is the best EMU remover I have ever used and will be in my night-time routine for the foreseeable! This product is half price in Boots at the minute, you can get it quick here.. I already stocked up, as you can see this bottle is almost finished.

2 ~ No7 Soft & Soothed Gentle Cleanser
This cleanser claims to 'clean, comfort and hydrate' the skin. Any of you who follow me on Snapchat will know that I was not a fan of this cleanser at the beginning, however I wouldn't not use it because I hate wasting a product so I persisted. I don't mind it so much now but to be honest I don't think I would repurchase it. It is quite a thick consistency so I feel like it leaves a lot of residue compared to milkier cleansers. I am going to use this until it's finished, then I am going to go for a cleanser from the Declare range, which is available in Inish Pharmacy. The No7 range is available from Boots.

3 ~ Bioderma Sebium H2O Purifying Cleansing Micelle Solution
This is another product that has been featured in my monthly favourites, my June favourites, and you can read that post right here. I use this after I use the No7 cleanser, some of you might think 'whaaat?' but that's how I have been using it lately and it has been working for me! One step cleansing does not work for me, I always double-cleanse so I can count on the Bioderma Micellar Water to remove all the final traces of my makeup. It cleanses my skin without drying it out and this one in particular is perfect for combination/oily skin. Bioderma is available from Cara Pharmacy.

4 ~ Botanics 100% Organic Rosewater Toning Spritz
Toners should always be used after cleansing to tighten the pores and I have only recently introduced this particular toner into my night-time routine and WELL, I just love it! It claims to "cleanse impurities and freshen" and I can confirm that it does just that! I spray this generously all over my face and neck after cleansing and wipe off with cotton pads. It feels so nice and fresh on the skin after cleansing, I don't know how it has taken me so long to use a spritz like this. Rosewater has been around for centuries to cleanse and tone the skin, making this toning spritz a win win! The Botanics range is available in Boots.

Secondly, we have 'Routine 2':

1 ~ Cailyn Dizzolv' It Makeup Melt Cleansing Balm
This product is actually magic. I first tried it when I got a sample size in the goody bag from SoSueMe's workshop back in April and I could not believe just how good it was, I just had to buy the full size product. One dollop of this stuff actually 'melts' away all of your makeup, including the most stubborn of eye makeup. It has a balm-like consistency at first but it responds to your body temperature, so as you put it to your skin it melts to a silky oil to remove all your makeup. So, I dampen a face cloth with hot water, scoop out enough product that I need with the little spatula that comes with the balm, and rub the product all over my face and eyes. I then wipe it all away with the face cloth and my face is clean as a whistle! It doesn't dry out the skin at all, containing aloe vera and calendula flower extract. Charlene Green MUA is a big fan of this product and has snapchatted showing how well it works. The Cailyn range is available from inish Pharmacy

2 ~ Botanics 100% Organic Rosewater Toning Spritz
Here we have the same product again, I finish off my cleansing with the spritz to tighten pores and freshen my face. It feels so good on the skin!

Finally, I have a selection up next that I use to complete my night-time routine:

1 ~ Pestle and Mortar Pure Hyaluronic Serum
This serum from the Irish brand Pestle and Mortar is simple, 'clean', light-weight, fragrance-free and... incredible! I use it at night time, after toning and before moisturising, it absorbs in seconds. I use it at night because it is over night that your skin does all it's repairing. It is a splurge (for me anyway) but it is worth it! It hydrates the skin and smooths fine lines and helps restore elasticity in the skin. The serum targets lines and dullness, and by doing so, it restores a healthy glow and plumpness to the skin. Hyaluronic Acid holds 1000 times it's weight in water (!!!) making it the most powerful natural moisturising ingredient! This serum can also be used as a smoothing makeup primer. The packaging of Pestle and Mortar products is sophisticated, and clinical. The other two P&M products, Hydrate and Superstar Retinol Night Oil, are on my wish list! Pestle and Mortar is available in Cara Pharmacy.

2 ~ Josie Maran Argan Oil
I talked about this little beauty in my Sephora haul post that you can read here. This oil is another splurge but I had read so much about it, I had to try it! I use this a couple of nights throughout the week after applying the serum. It is so pure and is a treat for the skin. I also use it on the patch of psoriasis on my scalp at night and I have noticed a big difference.

3 ~ Utan and Tone Nourishing Night Creme
I received this product in June's Glossybox and I can safely say, it is a product that I don't think would ever have been on my radar so if it wasn't for Glossybox I would never have tried it. I use this when I have tan on as it is builds a gradual tan overnight because tan on my face always fades annoyingly quick. This night creme is packed with different vitamins, antioxidants and hyaluronic acid that I talked about above so, as well as giving your face a natural glow, it leaves the skin feeling super soft and radiant. I have looked for local stockists but I can't find any but it is available online here.

4 ~ Lancome Energie De Vie Overnight Recovery Sleeping Mask
This product was in my June Favourites post here and it is still an absolute favourite of mine. I apply this after the P&M serum. It hydrates my skin immensely and makes it so smooth and fresh. You can either use a small amount as a night cream, use slightly more as a sleeping mask or use a generous amount, leave it for fifteen minutes then either rub it in or wipe off the excess gently with tissue. Available in Debenhams and larger Boots stores. There are two other products in the Energie De Vie range that are on my wish list!

Considering my night-time routine used to consist only of makeup removing wipes, this seems like a lot of steps but trust me, my skin is thanking me for it!

I would love to know what is your night-time routine?

Cocoa Brown Rose Gold Goddess Oil *Limited Edition*

A beautiful bright pink package arrived in the post for me this week and I had no idea what it could be because I wasn't expecting anything, well I couldn't remember ordering anything...

I opened the envelope and I was beyond excited to see it was a delivery from the one and only Cocoa Brown team! They had only gone and sent me a bottle of their Limited Edition Rose Gold Goddess Oil! Not only that, it was personalised! Yessss... my very own personalised bottle of Rose Gold Goddess Oil. I had seen the team's personalised bottles on Marissa's Instagram, never thinking I would ever own one. When I seen my own name on my own bottle I was literally the emoji face with the hearts for eyes. I was so shocked, and overwhelmed, to have been gifted one of these beauties from the Cocoa Brown team. Such a lovely surprise that means a lot to me so thank you a million Marissa, Stephanie, Kate and girls.

I mean. . . l o o k . . .

S O  B E A U T I F U L
The original Goddess Oil is a favourite of beauty lovers and MUAs including celebrity MUA Joyce Bonelli and Khloe Kardashian, if it's good enough for a Kardashian...

So Marissa announced back in June that she is expanding her much-loved Cocoa Brown brand with a twist on the best selling Goddess Oil and introduced the limited edition Rose Gold Goddess Oil... And she has gone and done it again, she never fails to impress. G I R L  B O S S.
Even the mere mention of *Rose Gold* in the name sucked me right in. Rose Gold is big right now and this twist on the best selling Goddess Oil is inspired by the current obsession with rose gold.

The Rose Gold Goddess Oil has been highly anticipated and an absolute gem of a beauty product. If you ever have FOMO over any beauty launches then you are going to want/need this body oil/highlighter/shimmery bottle of gorgeousness on your beauty station. It is more beautiful in real life than I thought it would be. Sparkle is my favourite colour... if the stardust in my name didn't give it away, you just have to look at my wedding dress. And this dry body oil is just that.. a bottle packed full of sparkle.

This newest, on-trend, beauty product is designed to add a gorgeous illuminating highlight and glow to your skin creating a silky smooth finish to the skin with shimmer and the heavenly pinky hue.
The product is packed with shimmer so a little goes a long way. It glides on to your skin and dries instantly. The rose gold tones work wonders on my pale skin, which always needs a little brightening up. I haven't tanned since I got the product but I can't wait to try it on tanned skin!

Here are some snaps of the oil.. excuse my pasty skin!

WITH FLASH ~ look at that shimmer!!
WITHOUT FLASH (and slightly out of focus!)
WITH FLASH ~ a little goes a long way
Marissa's tips on ways to use the Rose Gold Goddess Oil for having perfectly illuminated skin >
~ Ideal to use over your Cocoa Brown tan to add some glam to your tan
~ Non-tanners can use it to add some luminosity and a sheen to your skin
~ Highlight and brighten your skin; perfect on your cheekbones, collarbones, down the front of your shins.

Marissa has been demonstrating on her Snapchat how she applies it with her new Tontouring brushes available in most pharmacies. To apply it as highlighter on my cheekbones, I have just been carefully patting it on with my ring finger and it goes on so easy.

Always shake your bottle of Goddess Oil before using because the shimmer settles at the bottom of the bottle when it has been sitting for a while.

R O S E  G O L D  G O R G E O U S
The support and encouragement since rekindling that I have received from my husband, family, friends, work colleagues, customers etc. has been just wonderful. The Cocoa Brown team in particular have been incredible so thank you all so much.

Cocoa Brown by Marissa Carter Rose Gold Goddess Oil, RRP €11.95, has been available in Penneys since the 3rd of August and going by Marissa's snapchat the demand has been unreal. So get your bottle(s) while you still can!
