I can't believe July is over already, this year is going by sooo fast!

Here is another post in the series I promised I would do ~ my monthly favourites, products that I have been loving throughout the month of July.

There were a lot of products and it was hard to narrow them down so here are my top 10 in no particular order . . .

1 ~ Eau Thermale Avene Soothing Hydrating Serum
I have been using this so much since I bought it a few weeks ago. I had heard about it first from Marissa Carter (Cocoa Brown CEO, surprise surprise. . . You all already know I'm a big follower of Marissa #GirlBoss !!) Marissa raved about this serum in her Snapchat and at her Masterclass that I attended in Donegal Town. The serum is applied before your moisturiser and I have found it to 'prime and prep' my skin, giving it the perfect base for my moisturiser and it helps absorb your moisturiser so much better! This serum soothes and hydrates giving your skin a suppleness which I have never felt before with moisturiser alone, so I definitely feel like I was missing a step in my morning and night time skincare routine... Thanks Marissa! Let's face it (excuse the pun), it's all about the skin being hydrated and supple, now that I'm .. in .. my .. thirties.

I have just recently bought the Pestle & Mortar Pure Hyaluronic Serum (it was on my wishlist for some time, then a sweet discount code for Cara Pharmacy's website meant I couldn't miss it, yes?!) so it will be battle of the serums over the next while now to see which one will win me over. *Watch This Space*

The Avene Hydrating Serum is available in Brennans Pharmacy, Carndonagh, Co. Donegal.

2 ~ Nip + Fab Glycolic Cleansing Fix
The Nip + Fab range is loved by celebrities and this cleanser in particular is loved by Kylie Jenner! It is a cleanser with 2% glycolic acid, which 'retextures and resurfaces' the skin and olive oil to hydrate and smooth the skin. Gylcolic acid is a natural ingredient derived from sugar cane and it is an exfoliator which removes the outer layer of dead skin cells on your skin, resulting in new, fresh skin at the surface. It can help breakout/acne/blackhead prone skin and is also helps with anti-aging.
I only use this every other day because I think it would be too strong for my skin every single day but it has been helping drying out the breakouts I have been getting more frequently; breakouts which I never had problems with when I was a teenager! It has a gel-like consistency and a fresh smell, which is not overpowering. It claims to be a foaming facial wash, however I don't find that it lathers up too much, I still really like the product despite that.

The Nip + Fab range is available on and

3 ~ Josie Maran 100% Pure Argan Oil
I bought this in Sephora and talked about it in my haul post that you can read here. This argan oil is a 100% pure argan oil "rich in Vitamin E and fatty acids to deeply nourish and hydrate the skin." It is a multifunction oil that I have been using on my skin at night, my hair and nails.. and who doesn't love a multifunction/multitasking beauty product!
It absorbs quickly and does not leave my skin looking or feeling at all greasy. I would have sensitive skin and unfortunately I am prone to breakouts around my nose and chin and I find this oil works great at healing breakouts. It works wonders on dry cuticles and split ends, a little drop goes a long way. I suffer with psoriasis on my scalp and I have recently started to dap a little of the oil on the areas that are bad and I have noticed a definite improvement.

I have been searching for Ireland/UK stockists, but I have had no luck! However, it is available on Amazon and Sephora.

4 ~ Nivea Daily Essentials Double Effect Eye Make-Up Remover
This is hands down thee best eye make-up remover I have ever used! I wear mascara every day, and I have tried so many different EMU removers. Most either leave me with stingy eyes (the Simple Eye Make Up Remover is the worst for this) or involve too much rubbing to get the mascara off which is not good for my delicate eyelashes!
I received this in the goody bag from Marissa's Masterclass (you can read that post here) and I have used it every day since. My bottle is nearly finished and I will most certainly be re-purchasing. It is formulated especially for sensitive eyes so no stingy eyes after using it! It consists of a two-phase extra strength formula; one phase is oil which is super effective for removing waterproof mascara and eye makeup, and the second phase is aqueous which protects eyelashes.

The Nivea Double Effect Eye Make-Up Remover is available in most pharmacies and large supermarkets nationwide.

5 ~ Rimmel Sculpting Palette by Kate Moss in 002 Coral Glow
This is a clever little combination palette of highlight, blush and shade, and for a bargain price!
The palette makes it very quick and easy to sculpt your face with the three beautiful shades and a quick 'how to' guide on the back of the palette. It is a great palette for any makeup novices.
The only thing I will say about the palette in this particular shade, although the highlight and blush are very pretty and wearable shades, the 'contour' is a tad shimmery so it is not ideal for contour like the palette says, but it is a very wearable shade for 'sunkissed' look.

The Rimmer Sculpting Palette is available on Rimmel stands in most pharmacies.

6 ~ Urban Decay All Nighter Setting Spray
This is another purchase from Sephora but it is available in Urban Decay stands in Debenhams stores.
I started to use this spray most mornings because the weather has been so muggy and clammy lately, and what a difference it makes to my makeup's staying power! Pow! It is the best setting spray I have tried that helps my makeup last, look freshly applied and actually, makes it look better. My new holy grail product for sure!
It even features a patented 'Temperature Control Technology', which means.. yes that's right.. it lowers the temperature of your makeup, once misted on your face, to keep all the makeup in place no matter what the weather conditions are.
Simply spray it over your face in a X and T formation, it's such a light mist you don't even know it's there.

Urban Decay All Nighter Setting Spray is available in Debenhams stores and online.

7 ~ Maybelline Lash Sensational Lash Multuplying Mascara
My trusted Essence Lash Princess mascara has taken a backseat this month for my new favourite mascara by Maybelline! This mascara is simply amazing. It grabs every single little lash and thickens and lengthens them like no other mascara. The brush is designed to grab little and long lashes, hence 'multiplying' in the name. It lasts all day and doesn't flake at all. It is so reasonable, as are all Maybelline mascaras. I have always preferred 'drugstore' mascaras to 'high-end' mascaras and this is definitely my new favourite 'drugstore' mascara.

Maybelline is available in Boots and larger pharmacies nationwide.

8 ~ Amazing Concealer
The Amazing Concealer by Amazing Cosmetics is known as the "Magic Eraser" and I  can confirm it is definitely that. I has been my 'go-to' concealer for my dark circles, breakouts and any blemishes. I only use a tiny amount and blend with a beauty blender-type sponge... It is thee ultimate concealer. It gives full coverage and lasts all day. This is a sample size of Light Golden that I, again, received in Marissa's goody bag. Win win!

Amazing Concealer is available on Cloud 10 here.

9 ~ Powder 'n' Pout Angle Liner P410
These makeup brushes are becoming a regular feature on my blog, and rightly so. My review on a selection of the brushes is right here for you to read, it has been my most popular post to date!
My absolute favourite makeup brush to apply foundation is the Powder 'n' Pout HD Buffer P230. It was hard to choose just one brush to feature in my favourites because they are all incredible brushes but one that I have been using alot is the P410. I have been using it with the Essence Eyebrow Stylist Set for my eyebrows everyday and it applies the powder so easily and precisely!

The Powder 'n' Pout brush range is available in the salon, online and in Brennans Pharmacy, Carndonagh.

10 ~ Primark PS...Love This Oval Cosmetic Pads
A simple favourite but an absolute bargain, as is the whole of the PS...Love This range!
I stock up on these everytime I'm in Primark. I go through sooo many cotton pads and to find these for just 90p a pack.. YES, 90p for a pack of 100, awesome! *Fills Primark shopping basket*

PS...Love This range is available in Primark stores nationwide.

~ Penny and Ivy
Last, but certainly not least.. our two little beauties, Penny and Ivy, two kitten sisters that we rehomed from The Rainbow Rehoming Centre on July 16th.
When Caroline at Rainbow took us into the kitten house, these two little characters immediately started putting on a show for us and it was as if they chose us!
I thoroughly admire the work that Caroline and her colleagues at The Rainbow centre do and the deserve all the help they can get. They do not receive any government funding and rely totally on donations from the public. You can donate at the link above.
We are very lucky to have two Rainbow kittens and to be able to give these two little darlings their forever home.

That is all for this month's favourites!

Thanks for reading
Danielle x
